Pricing

Fair for everyone, and shown before anyone pays

Making an invitation is free. Shareish only earns when guests give, from two small fees. Here is every one of them, and what each pays for.

Who pays what

One small fee each side

Guests

A service fee on each gift

It is on top of the gift, so the whole gift reaches the options the parent chose. It covers card processing and running the service, and it is shown before you pay.

Your gift
$30
Service fee
$2.85
You pay
$32.85

Of that fee, about $0.85 is the card cost and $2 keeps Shareish running. The card part grows a little with the gift.

The parent

A party fee, only if guests give

One fee for the whole party, set by how many different guests give. No gifts, no fee.

  • 1 to 10 guests give$7
  • 11 to 20 guests give$11
  • 21 or more guests give$15

It comes out of the gifts and is shown as its own line on your dashboard. The parent still passes on everything guests gave to a charity or community group. The parent is paid once, in a single payout a few days after gifting closes.

Optional

Keep it open for a year

A party is one day. A 12-month pass keeps the gift link open so family and friends can give all year. It is one card payment from the parent, and you see the price before you pay.

Price

  • Usual price, per parent for 12 months$40
  • Special price, from the party until 30 days after gifts close$30

The party fee you have already paid counts toward the special price: a party fee of $7 leaves $23 to pay, $11 leaves $19 to pay, $15 leaves $15 to pay. After 30 days it is $40 in full, with no credit. One pass covers all of your children, so extra children cost nothing. Guests still pay their service fee on each gift.

Starting a gift link without a party? It is $40, and you can start a gift link.

Who it is for

Parents who want grandparents, aunties and friends to be able to give after the party: pocket money, birthdays, Christmas, a big present to save toward. You don't need it for a single party. Without it, the party closes and you are paid as usual.

What is included

  • The gift link stays open, with no closing date.
  • No party fee on gifts while the pass runs.
  • You can pay out whenever you like with "Pay out now", instead of once at the end.
  • You can record top-ups from cash, chores or bank transfers. They are kept apart from card gifts.
  • A private, read-only kids' page with first names and no amounts.
  • No auto-renew. It is not a subscription. We never charge you again unless you choose to buy another pass, at $40. It starts when the running pass ends.
  • When it ends, the link closes to new gifts, anything waiting is paid out to you automatically, and you can still read the pot and your top-ups. We email you 30 days before, 7 days before and on the day.
  • Refunds. You can have the pass refunded in full if you ask before any gift has arrived through it. After that we look at each request one by one. Refund rules

Where the money goes

What the fees pay for

We are a small business, and these costs are real. They are the only way we can keep the service running.

  • Card processing

Stripe charges 1.65% plus 30c on a typical Australian card. That cost is built into the guest's service fee, so it never comes out of the gift.

  • Payment accounts

Every parent gets a verified payment account, with identity and bank checks, so they can be paid safely. Stripe charges us for each account and each payout.

  • The service itself

Hosting, text messages for the RSVP code, email, the invitation art, the group card and the tools in the parent's dashboard.

  • Running the business

Support from a real person, accounting, insurance and legal advice, and the work of making it better.

Our promise

What we will not do

  • No cut from charities. Everything a guest gives to a cause reaches the cause. Our fees are on top.
  • No surprises. The total is shown before anyone pays, and the party fee is shown when the parent makes the invitation.
  • No ads, and no selling your information.
